If you would like more information about an item you see on our website, simply click on the item. This will take you to a Product Detail page that provides a complete description of the product.

Adding Items to Your Shopping Cart

To add items to your Shopping Cart, follow these simple steps:

• Before adding an item to your Shopping Cart from the Product Detail, it may be necessary to choose a size and/or color for the item you want to purchase. Click on the drop-down menu under the product description to select a size and/or color:

• If a size or color is not listed in the drop-down menu, it is out of stock and is not available for purchase. 

• Enter a quantity in the field provided.

• Make note of the Availability of the item. This tells you when we expect the item to leave our warehouse. Items that are not In Stock may take longer. The time it takes for the item to arrive at its destination depends on the shipping method you select in Checkout. 

• Click the button to add the item to your Shopping Cart.

Viewing Item Availability

A product's availability is clearly noted on the Product Detail page as “In Stock”, “Advanced Sale”, or “Temporarily Out of Stock”:

Calculating Delivery Time

Delivery Time = Warehouse Handling Time + Shipping Time

Warehouse Handling Time is the amount of time it will take for your order to leave our warehouse.

When you view an item on the Product Detail page or in your Shopping Cart, make note of its Availability:

• This tells you when we expect to ship your item from our warehouse.

Shipping Time is the amount of time it will take your order to ship once it has left our warehouse.

During checkout, you will get to select a shipping method and see the total time it takes for the item to leave the warehouse and ship to its destination. Please note that business days are Monday-Friday, excluding federal holidays within the United States.

• Ex: The item you ordered takes 1-2 business days to leave our warehouse. During checkout, you select "Overnight" shipping. It will take anywhere from 1 to 3 business days for your order to arrive.

Electric Bicycle Support & FAQ’s

The following are some frequently asked questions about our iZIP and eZIP Electric Bicycles. For more detailed information, please refer to the Quick Start Guide and Owners Manual and Battery Care Guide.

Are these e-bikes difficult to operate? They are as easy to use as a traditional bicycle. Hop on, turn on the power switch and pedal or twist the throttle and off you go.

Where can I ride my e-bike? It is legal to operate your iZIP or eZIP electric bikes on city streets in all 50 states and the District of Columbia. Please confirm laws in your town or city that may regulate the use of electric bicycles.
 
Do I need a license, registration, or insurance for my bicycle? No. iZIP and eZIP Electric bicycles do not need to be registered or insured as they are governed by similar regulations to regular bicycles. No driver's license is required. Please confirm laws in your town or city that may regulate the use of electric bicycles. (See Federal Electric Bicycle Law HR727)

 

How do iZIP and eZIP electric bicycles work?  Currie Technologies designs different models with different features. All of the electric bikes have an electric motor, a rechargeable battery pack, and a controller unit. You can pedal or use the motor or a mix of both. Some models use a throttle to actuate the electric power and other models simply require that you pedal:

• TAG (Twist and Go): These models all have operable pedals but pedaling is not required. You can simply twist and go!
• PAS/TAG (Pedal Assist or Twist and Go): These models allow the user to select two modes. Pedal Assist mode requires that you pedal in order to actuate the throttle or in the Twist and Go mode no pedaling is required.
• PTS/TMM (Pedal Torque Sensor / Torque Measurement Method): These models have sensors that read rider pedal force and send a signal to the motor to start running. The power level can be adjusted by the rider with a convenient handlebar control.
• EVO Drive (Human & Electric Hybrid Power): State if the art electronics and a dual input planetary drive system blends human and electric power inputs for optimal performance and power.

Where can I get my Electric Bike serviced? Currie Technologies provides warranty and out-of-warranty service for your iZIP or eZIP Electric Bicycle. For minor bicycle-related issues, please visit your local bicycle shop, but for issues related to the electronics or other aspects of the propulsion system, please either visit one of our many authorized dealers or contact us directly at (1-800-377-4532) . We are here to serve you.

What kind of warranty does the iZIP have? iZIP bicycles are guaranteed to the original purchaser for one year. Please refer to our warranty for more information.

What kind of warranty does the eZIP have? eZIP bicycles are guaranteed to the original purchaser for one hundred and eighty days. Please refer to our warranty for more information.

Can I ride the iZIP or eZIP just like a regular bicycle? Yes you can. Hop on and pedal, just like a regular bike. Any time you want electric power, simply turn on the switch and with PAS / TAG models, just twist the throttle. Keep pedaling if you like, or simply enjoy effortless cycling. Use the brakes just like a regular bike.

Does the iZIP or eZIP Electric Bicycle charge itself when you pedal? No. Batteries need to be recharged using the battery charger. For all models with a rack mounted battery pack, a second battery pack can be inserted into the opposite side of the rack for rides that require double cruising range. Spare packs and chargers are available so that you can always have a fully charged pack ready to go.
